losing control, stabbing Fuuma, getting tossed through wall(s), collapse of Shinjiku
He's angry and upset and in tears. He's lost control and he attacks Fuuma, the ball of energy creating a--blade, almost, around his hand, that he stabs into Fuuma'schest shoulder, his hand sinking into flesh almost to the base of his thumb. It's only then that he realizes what he's done, and he kind of--stops. Checks out, almost?
Fuuma, on the other hand, is very calm and cool about having a gaping bleeding hole in his chest and takes Kamui's bloody hand with one of his own, uses his other to draw Kamui close, and presses the attacking hand over his heart, "Shouldn't you have...aimed here? Well? If you smash it, I'll die."
Kamui's really out of it by now, and he curls his hand into Fuuma's shirt, "Fuuma... why?". Fuuma wraps his arms around him, holding him and tilting Kamui's chin up to lick his tears before blasting him across and through a building to smash against a wall. The impact is enough to make Kamui cough up blood and trail blood as he slides down the surface until he comes to stop, lying on a piece of rubble. Kamui's too heavily injured to move and Fuuma gently places a hand on his chest, above his heart, leaning in to speak into his ear, "If you want to kill me, try harder. This is where the heart is."
Fuuma shifts until he's essentially speaking to Kamui's heart, sitting by him on afore-mentioned piece of rubble, both hands resting lightly at either side of his chest, "Shall I rip it out and eat it for you?" when he's interrupted by Sorata and Arashi. Sorata says that Kamui is too innocent to understand the "profound conversations of grownups", Fuuma agrees but says that "it would have been in Kamui's best interests." He cradles Kamui's head, runs his thumb over Kamui's lower lip, smearing the blood.
There's a massive earthquake and as the high-rises of Shinjuku begin to collapse, Fuuma leaves. By now, Kamui's already drifting in and out of consciousness. Sorata carefully picks Kamui up, but the slight movement still makes him cough up blood, Arashi warns Sorata that Kamui's ribs are probably broken.
Shinjuku falls.
what he's learned
- he's furious about something and it's something that hurts
- it's more shock, pain, horror than rage any longer after he stabs Fuuma
- he can't actually bring himself to kill Fuuma, even if he really thinks he wants to
- even hurting him is difficult
- Fuuma has no trouble hurting him though, both physically and emotionally
- Fuuma...was okay with getting killed?
- ...so that's where some of his scars are from
- pressure and/or movement on broken ribs hurt like a bitch
- "profound conversations of grown-ups"???
- he failed at...something. again.
what this means
- recognition that he can't actually bring himself to kill Fuuma
- but that he can and will hurt Fuuma if he's angry or upset enough
- confusion over Fuuma's willingness to die
- +100 desire to better understand Fuuma
