When they were young, probably about eight or nine, Kamui saw on TV that 'it's happiest for one to marry the one he likes, becoming her bride' and decided that since he likes Kotori so much and Kotori likes him too, he'll be her bride! He asks for Fuuma's permission, and promises that he'll never make Kotori cry. Fuuma then says that if Kamui protects Kotori, he'll protect Kamui.
